Recognizing those who served in the United States military for their self-sacrifice, courageous acts and great responsibility
America’s Veterans are Homeless and In Crisis
Throughout life’s experiences we are often faced with many challenging situations that seemingly deprive us of our peaceful existence. These emotionally exhausting circumstances result in chaos, grief and confusion, leaving us feeling lost and bewildered. This is especially true among Veterans who have separated from the United States Military and are now suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder, mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, joblessness, loss of family and community support. Though these Veterans do their best to make it day-by-day, it takes the collaborative effort of a community to bring about wellness.
In our willingness to create positive change, we accept that certain kinds of despairs can be significantly relieved when capable individuals take the necessary actions to make a difference. It is OUR responsibility.
